Turkish Coffee

A Taste of Tradition and Bold Flavor

Turkish coffee, cherished throughout the Middle East, is a uniquely rich and aromatic experience. Prepared in a cezve (also called an ibrik), a long-handled pot traditionally crafted from copper or brass, this method creates an intensely flavorful, unfiltered coffee. A finely ground coffee powder—similar in texture to caster sugar—is essential, as the coffee is enjoyed without filtering, allowing the grounds to settle at the bottom of the cup.

How to Prepare Turkish Coffee

1

Add water to the cezve, using about 50 ml (1.7 oz) per cup desired.

2

Sweeten to taste by adding sugar, stirring to blend well.

3

Bring the water to a boil, then remove from heat and add one teaspoon of Tonino Lamborghini ground coffee per cup.

4

Boil the coffee, then remove from heat as it begins to froth.

5

Discard or keep the foam, then mix well.

6

Boil twice in succession, removing from heat each time.

7

Allow the coffee grounds to settle before pouring. For faster settling, add a splash of cold water after the final boil.

Enhancing with Flavor

Many enjoy Turkish coffee with a hint of exotic spice. For added warmth and depth, consider adding a pinch of cardamom or cinnamon to the grounds before brewing.
